9th Sihanoukville International Half Marathon: Passion Run
At 5:10 a.m., on April 7, 2024, the 9th Sihanoukville International Half Marathon got underway in Ochheuteal Beach, Sihanoukville. With the aim to promote international sports exchanges and a healthy lifestyle, this year’s event has attracted more than 1,600 runners from 35 countries around the world. Three classic race distances, i.e. 21km, 10km, and 5km, along with a specially-added 3km race were designed, the latter of which was intended to encourage more young people to engage in sports and experience the unique charm of marathons.

At 5:40 a.m., E-GetS CEO Mr. Xiao Hongpei pulled the trigger to start the 3km race. Runners dashed out of the starting line like an arrow off a string, their bodies agile and steps firm, entirely indulging their passion and fun for running. At both sides of the track stood enthusiastic audience who cheered for the runners. The marathon is not only a contest of speed and endurance but also a touchstone of willpower and perseverance.
During the event, H.E. Vath Chamroeun, Secretary-General of NOCC and H.E. Kuoch Chamroeun, Governor of Preah Sihanouk honored E-GetS and highly appraised its great support for this event.
Around 8:00 a.m., all races came to an end and the award ceremony began. Mr. Xiao awarded medals and E-GetS exclusive bonuses to the 3km race winners. As the ceremony drew to a close, the 9th Sihanoukville International Half Marathon came to a perfect conclusion.
